TOO OLD TO TAKE THE KNOCKS? TOO YOUNG TO HANG UP YOUR BOOTS?
Whether you are a former player who still hankers after the buzz of training and playing or a complete newcomer to Rugby, Touch Rugby provides the answer! It’s great for fitness, great for keeping old skills alive and great for developing new friendships!
Here at DRFC a group of M&J’s coaches and parents (and grandparents!) have got together to establish a touch rugby squad. The squad includes everyone from former first team players and those who had never played the game before. So far it has proved to be really popular with over 30 players turning up on a regular basis. We hold mixed training sessions and tournaments with the DRFC ladies team. We recently entered the Worcester Tournament and finished a credible third in the Division Two league. Our players also helped out a team in Division Three, with GTR/Halcrow winning the cup competition.
We meet at the Club at 7pm every Tuesday.
