Droitwich RFC condemns any abuse of match officials & expects anyone connected with, or visiting our club to challenge this unacceptable behaviour.
Whether a player, coach, or supporter we are all subject to a code of conduct and anyone found to be in breach of this code will be dealt with accordingly.
The game is changing & some of its traditional values seem to be getting lost in the modern game. Is it any wonder that more & more referees are unwilling to officiate.
With so many Referees hanging up their whistles, securing a referee for every game is becoming difficult, yet we all expect to see one in the middle when the game starts.
You may not like the decision, or have a different opinion, but one thing is certain, when has abuse ever reversed a decision?
Like it, or not the referee is the sole judge of fact and just like everyone else is there to enjoy themselves.
Would you be willing to give up your free time to face criticism?
With this in mind Droitwich RFC Committee wishes to send out a strong message and anyone found to be letting the club, or themselves down should expect to be dealt with under the clubs code of conduct.
We would hope that visiting clubs would support & join us in trying to reverse this growing problem within the game & work together to stamp it out.
Only by challenging such behaviour will we return to the values that rugby is renown for.

Droitwich RFC Chairman
