Hereford RFC U16's 0 - Droitwich RFC U16's 38

Droitwich RFC U16's travelled to Hereford and put in an excellent performance ahead of their Cup Semi-Final next Sunday. Resting players and with others away on trials, Droitwich took the opportunity to experiment.

On a very wet and boggy pitch, ankle deep in mud, Droitwich started brightly moving the ball quickly and playing to their strengths. Their reward came in the opening minutes when Danny Garner burst onto a pass to crash through the Hereford defence.

Droitwich's second came from Max Fitter who opened up Hereford's defensive line with some powerful running and sprinted over the line.

Droitwich further extended their lead when Will Baillon latched onto the ball after a period of excellent passing, which left Hereford clutching at thin air.

Two conversions from Adam Gwilliam gave Droitwich a 19 - 0 lead at the break.

Dan Wilkinson was fantastic in defence throughout, while Jacob Phillips put in a stylish performance at scrum half.

The second half started the same as the first with Garner getting his second of the match under the posts mid way through the half. This started a period of pressure from Droitwich which Hereford struggled to cope with. Both David Edwards and Adam Gwilliam finished with a flourish, each scoring and crossing the line after some slick handling skills from all involved.

Sam Davenport and Adam Gwilliam both added another conversion each to complete the scoring.

Man of the match was awarded to fly-half Charles Jackson.

Droitwich RFC U13's & U14's also ran out victorious against Hereford with the U13's controlling the game from start to finish. Droitwich U14's ran out 10 - 15 winners after taking on a strong Hereford side that were undefeated this season.
