Bredon U15 0 - Droitwich U15 42
Sunday, October 2, 2005
For the second game running Droitwich turned on the style. Good all round team play saw Droitwich overcome their early nerves and record a win over a spirited Bredon side.
Tom Fogerty opened the scoring after seizing on a chance created by the Droitwich backs. Jack Pomroy soon added the second which crowned yet another superb performance this season from the speedy centre.
Calum Kinghorn then scored just before half time to give Droitwich a 21 - 0 lead. The restart saw Harry Baille add his name to the score sheet straight from the start of the second half having just come onto the pitch. Kinghorn then scored his second using his size and power to good effect.
Dave Edwards completed the scoring after some wonderful play from Sean Storey, who did all the hard work before off loading to Edwards.
Shaun Hooper and Richard Phillips were both working hard to drive Droitwich on, with both proving very good at winning loose ball and taking the game to the opposition. Phillips was awarded Man of Match for his all round team play.
Bobbie Scott-Walker kicked all 6 of his conversion attempts to maintain his 100% record.
Droitwich, however, didn't have everything their own way with Bredon sticking to the task in hand and playing their usual strong physical game, letting all involved know they had been in a hard game.
Everyone at DRFC wishes Jack Westwood and Joe Perkins a speedy recovery.
