Droitwich U14 31 - Luctonians U14 10

Sunday, March 20, 2005

Droitwich U14's turned in their best performance of the season to record a win over Luctonians.

Droitwich started strongly when M.o.m Charles Jackson scored in the opening minutes after some good team work down the right. Luctonians responded and raised their game, threatening Droitwich's try line on numerous occasions and having much better possession in the middle part of the first half. George Walker relieved the building pressure when he raced through to pick up a loose pass to score under the posts for a run away try. At half time Droitwich led 12 - 10.

The second half saw Droitwich begin to dominate, applying pressure in all departments and turning the tide of Luctonian possession. Pressure was then turned into points when Matt Cook and Walker extended Droitwich's lead. This was shortly followed by Droitwich's final try from Harry Baille scoring from a rolling maul, after good forward work.

Bobby Scott-Walker scored one of Droitwich's conversions, while Tom Milwood added two more.
