Droitwich RFC players win National Touch Rugby Championship at Twickenham

A group of Droitwich RFC players have become the inaugural winners of the Men’s National Touch Rugby Championship.

Over the summer a group of Droitwich RFC’s players competed in a Premiership Touch Rugby League organised by Worcester Warriors. The league ran for eight weeks in a round robin format. The Droitwich boys were crowned Men’s League Champions at the end of the competition and won through to the National Finals played at Twickenham on 18th August.

The players, captained by Ross Coombes, won the National Touch Rugby Cup having defeated a Gloucestershire side by four tries to two in the final.
