Under 16’s - Harris Brushes Opposition Aside

Sunday 21st January 2007

Droitwich U16’s 38 - Whitchurch U16’s 0

Luke Harris scored 3 tries in the game to ease Droitwich U16’s into the quarter finals of the North Mids. plate.

Hard work in the mud gave Droitwich the platform to build on and it wasn’t long before possession was turned into points.

Superb work from the Droitwich backs created the second score, and try of the day, with a training pitch move that was beautifully executed and left the visiting side clutching at thin air when Harry Baillie touched down. Baillie added another score later in the game.

The Droitwich forwards won plenty of ball throughout, overturning ball in the loose and matching Whitchurch in strength throughout.

Max Fitter added his name to the score sheet to ensure there was no way back for the visitors.

Good performances by Calum Kinghorn, Jon Dowson and Danny Garner helped Droitwich into the next round with a home tie against Telford RFC in early February.

Bobby Scott-Walker slotted 4 out of 6 of his conversions to finish the scoring off.
