Senior squad training update
Thursday, 4th November, 2004
Last Tuesday (02.11.04) two members of Gloucester RFC 1st XV squad visited the club and spent about three hours with us. Luke Narraway and John Pendlebury passed on some techniques and a few ideas. They were well received and have promised to come back again in the future and take some more sessions.
Julian, assisted by Jonny and Gareth, are constantly trying to make the training sessions interesting and worthwhile. A number of approaches to others have been made and hopefully in the near future we will get some other one-off coaching sessions. However, for the sessions to be of real value there needs to be a good attendance regularly.
In the future, we will publish dates when we are likely to get visiting coaches.
In the meantime the club needs an improved turnout at training sessions on a Tuesday and Thursday, not least to repay the goodwill and endeavour shown by everyone involved on the coaching side.
