Worcestershire win Under 16 North Mids. Championship

After two weeks of entertaining rugby, Worcestershire eventually won the Under 16 North Midlands title, all games being played at Droitwich Rugby Club.
Worcestershire demonstrated their all-round quality in a dominant, first-round victory, 72-12 against Shropshire. Eight Droitwich RFC players started the match and a further two came on from the replacement bench.
Birmingham just beat Herefordshire 17-7, with a further Droitwich player coming off the bench for Birmingham.
The final games took place on Monday, 11th October. In the losers match Herefordshire beat Shropshire 41-15, and in the final Worcestershire eventually overcame Birmingham 38-5.
Congratulations must go out to the following Droitwich players who, on the strength of their performances in the North Mids. Championship, have been selected to represent North Midlands Under 16 in this season’s Midlands Championship:
